Mission Players Drafted to Junior A

Congratulations to Matthew Abbott, Jude McAdie and Josh Bramley for being selected in the 2018 BCJALL Midget Draft at the Langley Events Centre on Jan. 6.

The Langley Thunder got the ball rolling, drafting Matt near the top of the third round with the No. 18 pick. They would later pick up Josh at the top of the fifth round with the No. 34 selection. Both Matt and Josh spent some time with Maple Ridge in Intermediate A & B, and Matt also played some games with the Coquitlam Adanacs. The pair will join a large contingent of former Mission Sasquatch players such as Dryden Recsky and Imat Grewal.

Sandwiched in between those two was Jude, who was picked up by the Port Coquitlam Saints. Jude developed into a regular on the Poco Inter A bench towards the end of last season, giving the black and yellow reliable player and a boost as a strong call-up defender.

We will be sure to update you on how these players and other graduating midgets do as the junior structure transitions to a five-year program.
